DUO is designed to meet Singapore’s BCA Green Mark Scheme, promoting sustainability in the built environment. DUO Tower and DUO Galleria achieved Green Mark Platinum, while DUO Residences and the 5-star hotel received Green Mark Gold Plus, with DUO Tower being the only Platinum-certified building in the micro-market.
The development integrates energy-efficient design, naturally ventilated spaces, and eco-friendly commuting options, including direct access to Bugis MRT, covered bus walkways, and 66 sheltered bicycle parking lots.
Lifts are fitted with a regenerative system that recycles energy back into the building, while LED lighting and sleep-mode functions reduce energy use when idle. Escalators with slow-down features further enhance DUO’s sustainable design.
The use of special fluorescent and LED lights, along with motion control and automatic lux level adjustment, saves energy.
A combination of rainwater harvesting and private sub-meters provide class leading water management.
Designed to allow cooling land breezes to permeate the development, reducing energy consumption and bringing the outdoors, indoors..
The honeycomb façade and balcony act as natural sun shading, which together with the high performance glazing significantly reduce solar heat gain.
100% landscape replacement reduces temperature whilst increasing oxygen levels in the building’s vicinity.
Heat recovery air conditioning units, ductless fans for basement ventilation, along with motion sensors for the escape staircase, half landings and common toilets provide further efficacies.
The lifts are equipped with a regenerative lift system which has the capability to capture waste energy generated from the lift motor when it slows down (brakes) and feed back to the building grid for re-use in other utilities. Furthermore, the lift cars will be installed with LED lighting and sleep mode function which will allow the ventilation and lighting in the lift car to be turned off when there are no calls for the lifts. The escalators with slow down feature will also be implemented in this development.

Cloop is a circular fashion enterprise committed to reducing fashion overconsumption and waste in Singapore. They provide solutions for preloved apparel/textiles and sustainable shopping alternatives such as Fashion Swap!, Open Wardrobe honour system thrift store, and Curated Bag with part of the proceeds channel to http://cloop.sg/beneficiaries.
Besides providing solutions locally, Cloop has partnered with an ISO-accredited recycler to make textile recycling more accessible through the iconic yellow bins. Launched in July 2022, the program now has more than 450 bins across Singapore. Locate and use the Cloop bin near you. Cloop hopes to double the textile/leather recycling rate in Singapore by installing more bins across the island. KGS, a leading NEA-licensed electronic waste recycler in Singapore, introduces a Quarterly E-Waste Collection Day for DUO tenants to easily dispose of electronic waste. Once every quarter, tenants can participate in this initiative with basic collection services provided at no cost. Interested tenants simply need to express their interest, and the KGS team will collect the e-waste directly from their offices.
Once the e-waste arrives at KGS’s recycling facilities, it will undergo an assessment to determine the condition of the collected items. KGS will then implement the most suitable sustainable practices for the betterment of the environment and people.
KGS also offers paid services, including secure data destruction with certification and disposal of lithium-ion batteries, lighting, and bulky items.
Join KGS in responsibly managing electronic waste and promoting a sustainable tomorrow through the Quarterly E-Waste Collection Day and Green Corner E-Waste bin collection.

The Food Bank Singapore’s Food Bank boxes are strategically placed around the island to encourage the public to donate their excess food. Currently, more than 80 boxes have been adopted by schools, corporate offices, shopping malls, and condominiums.
The donated food items collected from these boxes are excess food items generously contributed by members of the public. Once collected, the food is transported to The Food Bank Singapore, where it is carefully sorted, packed, and distributed to one of our 370 beneficiary partners. This collective effort aims to combat food insecurity and provide support to those in need.
You can drop off your excess, unopened, unexpired dry/packaged food items with at least 4 weeks to expiry in any of our Food Bank boxes listed below.
Please note that we do not accept any fresh food, half-eaten, opened, or expired food in these boxes. Let’s work together to ensure that our food donations remain safe and uncontaminated.
Do you have old or new reading glasses, distance glasses, and/or sunglasses available?
Visio Optical runs a spectacle collection programme to ensure that spectacles are made available to the needy. If you have any old or new spectacles that you don’t use, please bring them along when you visit our store, and will take care of the rest.
Your donation is offered to people living in conditions of financial difficulty. These people would otherwise remain without proper prescription glasses, because they are unable to access or afford quality eye care. Typically they are elders without income and with little support from other members of the society.
